The following describes how to use a mask for artificial respiration:

1. Determine if the patient needs artificial respiration, if so, call the emergency number immediately.

2. Place the patient on a flat surface, open his mouth, remove foreign objects from the mouth and nasal cavity and clear the patient's airways.

3. Remove the artificial respiration mask, align its opening with the patient's mouth, close the patient's mouth and nose, and fix the artificial respiration mask on the patient's head.

4. Put on a respirator mask and start artificial respiration. Observe whether the patient's chest rises and falls during artificial respiration; if this happens, continue artificial respiration. If there are no ups and downs, check and adjust the tightness of the respirator mask again.

5. Pay attention to the combination of chest compressions during artificial respiration, first aid measures should be continued until the patient resumes independent breathing or until an ambulance arrives.
